ieCRM – Contacts & Newsletters

Newsletters people keep — rather than endure.

ieCRM brings contact management and newsletters together into one system built to be fair from the ground up: transparent, multilingual, self-hosted — with full data ownership for you and for your readers.

why «fair by design»

Most newsletter tools make money off your readers. ieCRM doesn’t.

Fairness in ieCRM isn’t a setting you switch on — it’s the attitude the whole system was built from.

the usual model

Attention as merchandise

  • Open tracking through invisible pixels — every mail opened gets logged.
  • Unsubscribing hidden away, multi-step, wrapped in «are you sure?» loops.
  • Your contacts live with the provider — moving out is hard, exports are patchy.
  • Membership counts as consent: whoever is in a group receives the mail.
  • The price grows with every contact, including the dormant ones.
the ieCRM way

Consent as the foundation

  • No forced tracking pixel. Statistics only where they stay transparent and aggregated.
  • Unsubscribe in one click — visible in every mail, without a follow-up question.
  • All data on your own server, fully exportable at any time.
  • A group is not a mailing list: only confirmed sign-ups ever receive an issue.
  • Self-hosted: no price per head, no contact trap.
the ieCRM newsletter

Write one issue. Arrive in the language each person has chosen.

You write your base version and decide which languages you offer. ieCRM takes care of the rest — cleanly, personally, and in the language each reader picked from your selection.

  • 01
Multilingual without doing the work twice

You set the selection of languages, your readers pick from it. Each person receives the issue in the language they chose — translated in advance or at sending time, your call, issue by issue.

  • 02
    Personalisation with [[placeholders]]

First name, salutation, birthday, your own custom fields — right inside the text. One template becomes a thousand personal mails, without the mail-merge feel.

  • 03
    Follow-up series

A welcome sequence, a course in stages, reminders: set up a series that delivers automatically after sign-up, at the rhythm you choose — with attachments where needed.

  • 04
    Web version with language switcher

«View in browser» shows the issue in the visual identity of your division — with the same switcher as in the preview above.

  • 05
    Sending at a calm pace

An adjustable hourly limit spreads sending over time instead of firing a thousand mails in one minute — which protects your standing with receiving servers.

# your template
Hello [[firstname]],
good to have you in [[list]].

# at sending time this becomes …
Hi Sarah, // en

Bonjour Chloé, // fr

segments, groups and lists

Reach the right people — without ever overriding their consent.

ieCRM has three tools that work together: lists collect sign-ups, groups reflect real-world membership, segments find people by their attributes. What counts is always the intersection.

  • 01
    Newsletter lists

The vessel for sign-ups. Every address enters through double opt-in and may leave at any time — by any route, not only the one it arrived through.

  • 02
    Groups

Members, the board, the 2026 course: membership as it actually exists. Belonging is explicitly not consent to receive mail.

  • 03
    Segments

Living searches across your attributes: region, language, relationship, your own fields. A segment narrows a mailing — it never widens one.

  • 04
    Reversible bulk actions

Assign whole segments to a group, set attributes, fill lists — with a log, and the option to take the whole run back.

everything in one place

Contacts and newsletters — one coherent whole.

No patchwork of tools. ieCRM bundles contact care, sending and deliverability into one self-hosted app — a lean core with modules you switch on when you need them.

Lists & import

Organise contacts in lists, import from CSV — with named column templates that recognise themselves next time round. No contact without a home.

CSV · auto-mapping

Double opt-in

Every sign-up is confirmed, every email address verified. Unconfirmed addresses count nowhere — clean from the very start.

confirmed · provable

Embeddable sign-up form

Three routes for your own site: a ready-made link, the form in a frame, or your own HTML posting straight to ieCRM. One building block per language version.

link · frame · HTML

Bounces & suppression list

Bounces are detected and counted; a three-tier, hashed suppression list protects deliverability and reputation — globally, per division or per list.

3-tier · hashed

Divisions for several brands

An association, a publishing house and a workshop in one instance — with separated data, their own sender and their own look, but shared tooling.

separate · shared

Brand kit

Logo variants, header and footer, colours: set your visual identity once, stay consistent everywhere — from the newsletter to the web version.

visual identity

Transparent editor

Free-form HTML with building blocks and a table tool — full control, nothing sent along in secret. What you see is what goes out.

full HTML control

Direct message

Write to a single person, in your division’s look and with the same placeholders — without creating a whole issue for it.

single · branded

AI assistance (module)

Copy, templates and translations with AI — vendor-neutral, using your own key. No subscription, no dependency, and only where you enable it.

your own key · opt-in

REST API & integrations

A clean interface for your own sign-up routes and the planned WordPress/WooCommerce integration. ieCRM fits in, instead of pulling everything in.

API · plugin planned

Self-service for your readers

Readers manage their own addresses and subscriptions, merge accounts and delete cleanly — data ownership down to the last address.

My account

Fair statistics

Aggregated figures instead of surveillance of individuals — enough to get better, without putting your readers under a microscope.

aggregated
self-hosted · Switzerland

Your contacts belong to you. Literally.

ieCRM runs as a Docker container on your own server. No foreign cloud, no reselling, no dependency — privacy here isn’t an option, it’s the architecture.

Swiss origin

Developed in Switzerland, with privacy in the foundation. Run it on your own infrastructure, or have it run for you.

🐳 Docker in minutes

One container, runnable anywhere. No vendor lock-in, no forced SaaS. You decide where your data lives — and who gets to see it.

Reversible & exportable

Deleting archives first, bulk actions are logged and can be taken back, everything is exportable. No path is a dead end.

more than a product — a promise

The seal of approval for fair email contact.

ieCRM is conceived on three levels: fairness built into the product, a licensable seal for fair senders — and an attitude that has to be earned, and can also be lost again.

  • Built in: fairness lives in the code, not in the small print.
  • Visible: senders who send fairly may display the seal.
  • Earned: the seal is granted — and withdrawn when the attitude is missing.
in development

Be there when fair newsletters become normal.

ieCRM is taking shape step by step. If you want to follow along, this is where the news reaches you first — with double opt-in, of course, and an unsubscribe link in every mail.
